front row seat

I love to be on the front lines of ministry. If I had been alive when Jesus walked the earth, I would have been with Zaccheus up in the tree so I could have a good view! The fun part about a living faith is that we can all have that front row seat to Jesus' ministry every day! All we have to do is be available  and be obedient when He tells us to do something. Here is a story of one of those times when I had a front row seat and got to watch the Master at work. :)

Spirit Day

I am home this week doing normal things that people do. I'm so excited! I get to do laundry and clean my house. I get to take out the trash. I get to breathe! I have been traveling so much for ministry the past few months that I have not even unpacked my suitcase. I guess it's time! I am not complaining, though. It's been a glorious time of watching the Lord bear His fruit through me...

This month I traveled to Virginia and then to Texas where I was invited to be the guest speaker at 'Spirit Day' at Floral…Read more

the making of a dream

One night as I was pondering Christmas music for my new CD, I had an idea. I had always loved the song, "Do You Hear What I Hear" when I was a child. As I sat at my piano, I could hear myself singing it in a new way, however...with some new chords and a different feel than most arrangements I have heard. That night I made a crude demo of my idea and sent it to producer Billy Smiley at about 2 AM. I told Billy that I could hear a 'Phil Keaggy-ish' guitar sound in the arrangement never dreaming that Phil…Read more

watching the Master work...

June was one of the most exciting, hold-onto-your-hat kind of months I have ever lived through! There was ministry and travel and a wedding....MINE...plus the filming of a music video with Phil Keaggy in Nashville. Now I am back home in Michigan and taking a moment to breathe and give thanks.

My life feels like it is moving very fast now after years of prayer. I have never felt myself so propelled forward by the power of the Holy Spirit as I do right now! I remember Jesus saying He could only what He saw HIs…Read more

We Are The Salt Of The Earth

I had the privilege of being able to preach a lot this week publicly, and one of the places I spoke was particularly unique. It was a church service at a campground on the shore of a lake. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze coming off the water, and I suddenly realized that I was preaching in the same setting that Jesus often did. He probably did most of his teaching outdoors and much of it on the shores of a lake! And when people heard the sound of his voice they were drawn to Him….He preached…Read more
